Shapleigh Community Day Committee will be meeting on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 6:00 pm at the Shapleigh Library.  The public is encouraged to attend.  Volunteers are needed.

Square Pond Watershed Survey to look for erosion sources

A volunteer watershed survey at Square Pond will be conducted on May 4th with follow up through August. The survey is a joint project between the Square Pond Improvement Association (SPIA), Acton Shapleigh Youth Conservation Corps (ASYCC) and Maine Department of Environmental Protection (MDEP).   For more information - click here Maps - click here

DONATIONS - Recycling GoodsRebuilding Lives - Clean out your closets & restore hope.  The Salvation Army accepts:  clothing of any type, books, records, cds, furniture (must be in good condition.  No water damage, severe cosmetic damage to wooden items, no rips, stains, tears or structural damage.  collectibles, jewelry, anitques, shoes, handbags, ties, belts, scarves, household items.  Large items residents can call for a free pick up.  1-800-SATRUCK or visit www.satruck. org.  Donations boxes are located at:  Transfer Station and Town Hall

Effective immediately Fire Permits for the Town of Shapleigh may be issued at the Public Safety Building. Personnel will be available to issue permits if they are not on an emergency call
