Help Wanted - Office Assistant - The Town of Shapleigh is currently seeking candidates for a part time Office Assistant position.  This is a 21 - 25 hour a week position with additional time as needed.  Hours:  Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday's 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.  This position is responsible for administrative and clerical support to the office of the Board of Selectmen and Town Administrator.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  answering the phone, data entry, typing of reports, filing and ordering office supplies.  Other duties include dealing effectively with the public and performing specific tasks under the general guidance and direct supervision of the Town Administrator.  If interested please forward your resume with a letter of interest and a minimum of three references to:  Town of Shapleigh, PO Box 26, Shapleigh, ME  04076 or email:  Administrator@shapleigh.net.  Deadline for resumes will be Friday, January 25, 2019.

Absentee Ballots Available - Requests for a mailed ballot may be made by telephone or in writing by the voter or immediate family member by Tuesday, March 5, 2019 - Unless the voter completes a "special circumstances" application.  Town Clerk's Office, Town of Shapleigh, PO Box 26, Shapleigh, ME  04076 - 207-636-2844, Ext 413 or 415.  The polls will be open Friday, March 8th from 8 am - 8 pm at the Shapleigh Town Hall, 22 Back Road.  Annual Town Meeting will be Saturday, March 9th at 10:00 am - Shapleigh Memorial School.
