 Executive Session has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 26, 2018 during the regular Board of Selectmen meeting which starts at 7:00 pm.  This is pursuant to 1 MRSA 405(6)(A) - personnel matter.

Help Wanted: The Town of Shapleigh is currently accepting applications for a Transfer Station Recycling Attendant.  The ideal candidate must enjoy dealing with the public, be a team player, have a courteous attitude, valid drivers license and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.  Hours are:  May 1 - Sept 30 - Tuesday & Thursday 9am - 4pm; Saturday and Sunday 8am - 4pm.  Oct 1 - April 30 - Wed, Sat & Sun 10:00am - 4:00pm.  Applications are available at the Town Hall/Executive Secretaries office during regular office hours.  You may call 207-636-2843 ext 401 for more information.  Deadline for applications is Friday, July 6, 2018.

DONATIONS - Recycling GoodsRebuilding Lives - Clean out your closets & restore hope.  The Salvation Army accepts:  clothing of any type, books, records, cds, furniture (must be in good condition.  No water damage, severe cosmetic damage to wooden items, no rips, stains, tears or structural damage.  collectibles, jewelry, anitques, shoes, handbags, ties, belts, scarves, household items.  Large items residents can call for a free pick up.  1-800-SATRUCK or visit www.satruck. org.  Donations boxes are located at:  Transfer Station and Town Hall.   

Notice:  The Town Hall and Transfer Station will be closed on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 and Wednesday, July 4 2018. 

Notice is hereby given:  At any given time there may be more than one Selectman working at Town Hall.  This does not constitute a meeting but more or less a work session.

Fire permits - Effective immediately fire permits for the Town of Shapleigh may be issued Monday - Friday 9 am - 6 pm at the Public Safety Building, 506 Shapleigh Corner Road, Shapleigh - phone 207-636-2211.  Personnel will be available to issue permits if they are not on an emergency call.  Saturday - Sunday - you may contact the Fire Warden Steve Fiske @ 207-636-1553 or the Fire Chief, Duane Romano @ 207-636-1262 if interested in obtaining a fire permit.

Free Community Meals - Every Monday and Wednesday evenings, freshly-prepared, nutritious meals in our multi-purpose room at Curtis Lake Church, 5 PM, 38 Westview Drive, Sanford, behind Ocean State Job Lots.  Doors open at 4:45 pm.  All are welcomed to attend.
