 Notice - The Board of Selectmen will be meeting on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 6:30 pm pursuant to 1 MRSA 405 (6)(G) consultation with CEO on pending litigation.

Community day is fast approaching, but there's still time for you to sign up to participate in this great community event.  We're looking for musical guests, vendors, and volunteers to help make this year's event bigger and better than ever!  Email:  19thshapleighcommunitydays@gmail.com to find out how you can help out.  Vendors NEEDED.  We are in need of vendors from:  Lula Rue, Leggings and 31bags.   

Shapleigh COMMUNITY DAYS - Friday, July 20 and Saturday July 21st.  Starting Friday - Spaghetti Dinner at 4:00 pm, Concert in the Commons at 6:00 pm and Fireworks at 8:30 pm.  Saturday Parade at 9:00 am, Classic Car show at 10:00 am, concession all day, Silent auction, book sale at the Library and Crafts, games and a animal encounter presentation and so much more.  Free for you to enjoy.

DONATIONS - Recycling GoodsRebuilding Lives - Clean out your closets & restore hope.  The Salvation Army accepts:  clothing of any type, books, records, cds, furniture (must be in good condition.  No water damage, severe cosmetic damage to wooden items, no rips, stains, tears or structural damage.  collectibles, jewelry, anitques, shoes, handbags, ties, belts, scarves, household items.  Large items residents can call for a free pick up.  1-800-SATRUCK or visit www.satruck. org.  Donations boxes are located at:  Transfer Station and Town Hall.   

Notice is hereby given:  At any given time there may be more than one Selectman working at Town Hall.  This does not constitute a meeting but more or less a work session.

Fire permits - Effective immediately fire permits for the Town of Shapleigh may be issued Monday - Friday 9 am - 6 pm at the Public Safety Building, 506 Shapleigh Corner Road, Shapleigh - phone 207-636-2211.  Personnel will be available to issue permits if they are not on an emergency call.  Saturday - Sunday - you may contact the Fire Warden Steve Fiske @ 207-636-1553 or the Fire Chief, Duane Romano @ 207-636-1262 if interested in obtaining a fire permit.

Free Community Meals - Every Monday and Wednesday evenings, freshly-prepared, nutritious meals in our multi-purpose room at Curtis Lake Church, 5 PM, 38 Westview Drive, Sanford, behind Ocean State Job Lots.  Doors open at 4:45 pm.  All are welcomed to attend.
