Candidate's Night - Tuesday - February 26, 2019 at 7:00 pm - The Selectmen will be hosting a Candidate's night - Second Floor at the Town Hall.  Candidate's night is offered as a service to the voters of Shapleigh to give residents an opportunity to get to know their candidates and ask questions.  In an effort to maintain order during this event, questions must be submitted in advance.  You can email your questions to administrator@shapleigh.net  All questions deemed appropriate by the Moderator will be directed to all candidates.  

Square Pond Watershed Survey to look for erosion sources. A volunteer watershed survey at Square Pond will be conducted on May 4th with follow up through August.  For more information - click here.

Absentee Ballots Available - Requests for a mailed ballot may be made by telephone or in writing by the voter or immediate family member by Tuesday, March 5, 2019 - Unless the voter completes a "special circumstances" application.  Town Clerk's Office, Town of Shapleigh, PO Box 26, Shapleigh, ME  04076 - 207-636-2844, Ext 413 or 415.  The polls will be open Friday, March 8th from 8 am - 8 pm at the Shapleigh Town Hall, 22 Back Road.  Annual Town Meeting will be Saturday, March 9th at 10:00 am - Shapleigh Memorial School.

Notice:  Shapleigh Recreation Committee meeting dates:  Sunday's at 6:00 pm, at the Shapleigh Library - February 10, 2019.  All meetings are open to the public and will be held at the Shapleigh Library, unless otherwise posted.

The Capital Improvements Committee meeting dates are:  Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm on December 20, 2018 & January 17, 2019, February 21 and March 21, 2019.  These meetings are open to the public and will be held at the Shapleigh Town Hall - Second Floor.

DONATIONS - Recycling GoodsRebuilding Lives - Clean out your closets & restore hope.  The Salvation Army accepts:  clothing of any type, books, records, cds, furniture (must be in good condition.  No water damage, severe cosmetic damage to wooden items, no rips, stains, tears or structural damage.  collectibles, jewelry, anitques, shoes, handbags, ties, belts, scarves, household items.  Large items residents can call for a free pick up.  1-800-SATRUCK or visit www.satruck. org.  Donations boxes are located at:  Transfer Station and Town Hall
