PACE - Low Interest Loans for Home Energy Improvements - Efficiency Maine is launching the Maine PACE loan program.  The Shapleigh voters approved entering into an agreement with Efficiency Maine at their March 2016 Town Meeting.  Loans provide a way for homeowners to borrow funds at a competitive interest rate to make energy improvements, such as installing a new energy efficient heating system, weatherizing a home with insulation and air sealing and replacing hot water tanks.  For more information about PACE or to apply, visit or call 1-866-376-2463.

The Town of Shapleigh would like to inform residents that there is a recycling paint program available.  You can drop off your unwanted paint to locations in Springvale and soon to be available at the Shapleigh Transfer Station.  PaintCare Program - for more information and to find a drop off location near you please visit their website at

Fire permits - Effective immediately fire permits for the Town of Shapleigh may be issued Monday - Friday 9 am - 6 pm at the Public Safety Building, 506 Shapleigh Corner Road, Shapleigh - phone 207-636-2211.  Personnel will be available to issue permits if they are not on an emergency call.  Saturday - Sunday - you may contact the Fire Warden Steve Fiske @ 207-636-1553 or the Fire Chief, Duane Romano @ 207-636-1262 if interested in obtaining a fire permit.
