Help Wanted - Office Assistant - Pay Range - $12.00 - $15.00

The Town of Shapleigh is currently seeking candidates for a part-time Office Assistant from 21 - 25 hours per week to clerically support the Town Administrator. This position is responsible for administrative and clerical support to the offices of the Board of Selectmen and Town Administrator. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: answering the phone, data entry, typing of reports, filing and other general office duties. Knowledge of Municipal Government is a plus but not necessary to apply for the position.

Transfer Station - Beginning today the upper level will be open for two lanes for residents to dispose of their refuse/upper level. Please keep in mind 6 feet social distancing while at the Transfer Station.

Transfer Station Stickers - Strict enforcement has been implemented. Anyone who does not have a Transfer Station sticker will have one week from today to obtain a sticker from the Town Hall. Starting Wednesday, October 21, 2020 - no Transfer Station Sticker on your vehicle you will not be allowed to use the Transfer Station.

ELECTION DAY - The Town Clerk's office will be closed due to the election and will reopen on Wednesday 11am - November 4, 2020.  Voting is to take place at the Shapleigh Memorial School.  

Rescue Squad will be meeting on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 6pm at the Public Safety Building.

Mousam Watershed Dam Coalition - Committee Member Needed:

Town of Shapleigh is seeking 1 individual to serve on the Mousam Lake Dam Coalition Committee. This committee meets with other representatives from the Towns of Acton, Shapleigh and Sanford. The Town of Acton, Sanford and Shapleigh recognize their mutual interests in maintaining the Emery Mills and Square Pond Dams in a good and serviceable condition. The City of Sanford owns and has all responsibility for the maintenance and managements of these two dams. This committee approves an operating budget each year along with reviewing any capital improvement plans needed.
