PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE - The Municipal Officers of the Town of Shapleigh will meet at 6:00 pm on the Tuesday, September 28, 2021 for the purpose of holding a public hearing on and enacting the following ordinance:


The public will be given an opportunity to be heard prior to the consideration of the above ordinance by the Municipal Officers.  A copy of the amended ordinance is available at the Town Administrator’s office during regular hours.

COVID - Anyone needing a ride in order to get vaccinated can reach out to Joanne B at 207-850-1379.   

Absentee Ballots - The Town Clerk's office is now accepting Absentee Ballot Requests for the November 2, 2021 State General and Municipal Referendum Election.  Requests for a ballot made by telephone, online or written must be received by Thursday, October 28th unless special circumstance exist.   Town Clerk, Town of Shapleigh, PO Box 26, Shapleigh, ME  04076; telephone 207-636-2843 ext 1 or 6 or use the online request form at:  The polls will be open Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 8:00am - 8:00pm at the Shapleigh Town Hall, 22 Back Road.

Effective Immediately - The Transfer Station will no longer accept boats for disposal.  If you have a boat that you would like to dispose of - Please bring to Jeff Simpson, Jagger Mills Road, Sanford.

Dog Licenses - SHAPLEIGH DOG OWNERS - Maine State Law requires each owner/keeper of a dog(s) at the age of six months or over be licensed in the Municipal Clerk’s office  in the Town where the dog is kept. You must provide a current rabies and spray/neuter certificates when licensing.  A $25.00 late fee went into effect on June 3, 2021
