Mousam Watershed Dam Coalition - Committee Member Needed:
Town of Shapleigh is seeking 1 individual to serve on the Mousam
Lake Dam Coalition Committee. This
committee meets with other representatives from the Towns of Acton, Shapleigh and
Sanford. The Town of Acton, Sanford and
Shapleigh recognize their mutual interests in maintaining the Emery Mills and
Square Pond Dams in a good and serviceable condition. The City of Sanford owns and has all
responsibility for the maintenance and managements of these two dams. This committee approves an operating budget
each year along with reviewing any capital improvement plans needed.

2020 Tax Bills have been mailed. Please remember the Town is required by law to send the tax bill to the owner of record as of April 1, 2020. If you have sold your property after April 1, 2020, it is your responsibility to send the tax bill to the new owner. If you have any questions you can call 207-636-2839, ext 0. Absentee Ballot - The Town Clerk's office is now taking absentee ballot requests for the November 3, 2020 General Election. You may request an Absentee Ballot by calling the Town Clerk's office 636-2843, ext 1 or 6 or by visiting the State's on-line portal - https://apps.web.maine.gov/cgi-bin/online/AbsenteeBallot/index.pl
Absentee Ballots will become available and will be provided to voters beginning in early October. ELECTION DAY: IN PERSON VOTING WILL BE CONDUCTED AT THE SHAPLEIGH MEMORIAL SCHOOL, 467 SHAPLEIGH CORNER ROAD.
Public Hearing for the amendments to the General Assistance Ordinance - has been scheduled for 6pm on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at the Shapleigh Town Hall.
