The Selectmen have made the decision to not have a open town meeting in March due to the COVID numbers increasing. All warrant articles will be voted on Friday, March 12, 2021 by paper ballots. This includes all elections of municipal officers. Public hearings will be scheduled in the coming weeks for the public to ask questions. Watch for more information to follow.
Virtual Public Hearing - The Town of Shapleigh will be hosting a virtual public hearing to discuss the Emery Mills Bridge reconstruction project. The public hearing is to inform the residents what the Town has been working on with regards to the very needed repairs for this bridge. Engineers from Milon & Macbroom will be in attendance as well and will the discuss the scope of the project. DATE: Monday, January 25, 2020 at 6PM.

remains open at this time, you may process many transactions online. Such as:
Motor vehicle renewals, dog, hunting & fishing licenses and
snowmobile registrations may be processed using the
links below. Or, if you prefer, you may telephone the Clerk’s Office

Dog Licenses - SHAPLEIGH DOG OWNERS - 2021 DOG TAGS NOW AVAILABLE - Maine State Law
requires each owner/keeper of a dog(s) at the
age of six months or over be licensed in the
Municipal Clerk’s office in the Town where the dog is kept. You must provide a
current rabies and spay/neuter
certificates when licensing.

636-2843 ext. 1 or 6. A $25.00 late fee will be
applied as of February 1.
Transfer Station Stickers - Strict enforcement has been implemented. Anyone who does not have a Transfer Station sticker will have one week from today to obtain a sticker from the Town Hall. Starting Wednesday, October 21, 2020 - no Transfer Station Sticker on your vehicle you will not be allowed to use the Transfer Station. To obtain a Transfer Station Sticker you must come to the Town Hall during regular Town Clerk hours. You will need to bring in your vehicle registration and proof residency for Shapleigh.
