REMINDER – Dog Licenses expire annually on December 31st.

Maine State Law requires that all owners/keepers of dogs 6 months of age or more shall obtain a license.

You must provide current rabies and spay/neuter certificates when licensing your dog(s).

You may also visit and follow the “on-line services” link to license your dog.

A $25.00 late fee will be assessed as of February 1st

Winter Road Maintenance Bid Request

Town of Shapleigh Winter Road Maintenance Contract for 2023-2026
Snow Removal, Sanding and Salting of Town Roads for the
Northern and Southern District

The Town of Shapleigh is soliciting bids for snow removal, salting, and sanding on Town Roads for the 2023/2024, 2024-2025, and 2025/2026 snow seasons. 

The contract is divided into two districts.  The Northern District is approximately 32.6 miles of road, and the Southern District is 25.6 miles of road.   The Town will provide 5,500 cubic yards of sand/salt mixture each year to be used in both districts.  Include in your bid:  price per mile, vehicles and equipment that you will be using to perform duties as outlined in the contract, driver’s names and at least 3 business references, proof of commercial liability and proof of worker compensation insurance or a Predetermination letter from the State of Maine.. 

All sealed bids are due Tuesday February 7, 2023, by 4:00 pm.  Bids may be delivered to the Shapleigh Town Hall located at 22 Back Road, Shapleigh, Maine; or mail to PO Box 26, Shapleigh, ME  04076 – Winter Road Maintenance Contract. 

Bids will be opened at the Selectmen’s meeting on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 6:00 pm.  You do not have to be present for your bid to be considered.
